Why are some vitamins sublingual and others swallow?
Chiropractor Vero Beach, Fl.- Some vitamins are liquid, and you place them under your tongue. This is called a sublingual form. These vitamins pass directly into the blood without having to be digested and absorbed through the intestine. While in the stomach the vitamin is subjected to very strong stomach acid which breaks down the vitamin and some of it is destroyed. Therefor if you can take a vitamin sublingually, it’s much better. If it’s possible to get it in a liposomal sublingual form, it’s even better. These are highly absorbable and utilized to their maximum potential.
