The simplest answer could be they just pinched a nerve or slept on that arm and caused a mild neuropathy that will get better with a little time. It’s human nature for us to jump to something that is really severe and detrimental. When someone comes in, the history of the injury is very important. I’ll ask, how did it happen? When did it start? Key questions that can let us know as the physician, and let the patient remember that there was an actual start to the problem and how it happened. It’s not cancer!! You just hurt yourself in the gym or on the golf course. So, in the future always try to remember Occam’s Razor.
