How medical/chiropractic care works after and auto accident?

Vero Beach, Fl.- In Florida we carry auto insurance that will not only cover damage for the accident, but also damage or injuries to ourselves.  We have what’s called PIP injury insurance that covers your medical bills after and auto accident.  Each of us carry at least $10,000 worth.   You can purchase more if you would like which is called medpay.  You can have 80/20, 90/10 or 100% policy.  Which means 80% are covered by your insurance and 20% is a deductible and so on and so forth.  You have 2 weeks to make an injury claim.  After that, you will have no coverage by your insurance.  So, it’s important to get checked out within the two weeks.  You do not have to go to an ER right after the accident, but a chiropractor can assess your injuries after the collision and treat or refer if necessary.  We can order X rays, MRI’s or CT scans to help diagnose injuries.  I often tell my patients that I can quarterback everything needed after an auto accident and refer them to correct doctor if needed.  We treat many auto accident injuries here at Vero Walk-In Chiropractic and Wellness.  If this unfortunate thing happens, we will be here to help.  Dr. Thomas Harmody is a chiropractor at Vero Walk-In Chiropractic and Wellness in Vero Beach, Fl.
