Why do road trips always seem to be tough on my body?
Chiropractor Vero Beach, Fl.- It’s summertime and a bunch of us travel for vacation. I get the question a lot of, “Why do road trips always seem to be hard on my body?” There are a few answers to this question. Let’s say it’s a trip that is 12 hours long. Car seats are not always the most comfortable to sit in and it doesn’t matter about the manufacturer. If you are stuck in a chair for 12 straight hours without moving a whole lot, you’re probably going to get stiff and sore. Since you are not moving a whole lot, your blood flow decreases and lymphatic flow decreases. These are the mechanisms that bring fresh nutrients to each area of the body and a way to clean the toxins that get built up. Periodic stops to move and increase your heart rate are good and it helps to loosen tight muscles. Think of these things while on your next road trip to help combat the body aches you get.
