Vero Beach chiropractor- Arthritis is a normal occurrence from aging. Depending how hard we were on our body in our “younger” days, depends on how rapidly the arthritis forms in our bodies. There is also a component of heredity that comes into factor with arthritis. Arthritis is simply calcium that is laid down within our bones and joints. For better lack or terms, it’s wear and tear. When we are younger, our joints and bones are smooth. As we age, our joints develop little rough areas in the cartilage that cover our joints. These roughened areas increase friction and prevent smooth gliding of the joints when we move. However, when the joint is adjusted, the joint is flooded with oil called hyaluronic acid. This lubes up the joint and provides a smoother glide. It also renourishes the roughened cartilage in the joint making it useable again. Exercise can also provide the same movements needed to create this oiling effect. Getting adjusted regularly and exercise can help slow down the arthritic production within joints. Please see your chiropractor for regular adjustments and for the correct exercises to do to help slow down this production of arthritis.
